Fat Thursday on Saturday

The Signpost to Polish Success organization invites you to the Fat Thursday on Saturday event on February 4, 2023 at the New Art Exchange gallery (NG7 6BE) from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.
We invite everyone, regardless of where they come from and what language they speak – we want to share knowledge about our Polish culture and treat all present guests with delicious, free, Polish donuts.

This year, the leading theme of our workshops will be the outstanding Polish astronomer – Nicolaus Copernicus. We decided to bring this character closer, not only
due to great achievements, important for the whole world and his Polish origin, but also due to the fact that the year 2023 was announced by
The Senate of the Republic of Poland is the Year of Nicolaus Copernicus.

During art workshops, we will create telescopes, i.e. everyday devices for every astronomer, and Toruń paper gingerbread, a symbol of the city where Nicolaus Copernicus was born. We invite potential sponsors to finance Toruń gingerbread to be tasted during the event.
We will also screen a short animated film “Nicholas Copernicus’s first encounters with heaven”, which was created by the District Museum in Toruń to bring the figure of the astronomer closer to the youngest participants. Our wonderful volunteers will help during the workshops. We invite EMpP readers to join us.

The whole event will take place in a nice and friendly atmosphere, and we encourage you to book this date in your calendars today!

FREE ADMISSION!
