They help with managing debts to avoid getting into arrears with Rent and/or Council Tax and face possible court action and fines. 

If you are already in arrears they can help to set up manageable payment plans, help to complete financial statements, apply for certain grants, complete benefit checks and help with advice on budgeting decisions.

9. Victim Support

Nottinghamshire Victim CareEmotional and practical support to victims of crime. NVC support anyone of any age but has dedicated caseworkers for “adults” and “young people”. They can help the victim whether they have reported the crime or not and the crime doesn’t have to have been recent.
This is a free, confidential service and caseworkers work with the victim to help them cope and recover from the crime.

Nottingham Street Outreach TeamThey engage with and support people who are sleeping on the streets, whilst working with other agencies to reduce the number of rough sleepers. They can help people experiencing rough sleeping to:
• Find safe and secure accommodation and claim benefits they may be entitled to
• Access medical treatment and get help with drug, alcohol and mental health problems
• Re-engage with estranged family members, return to their home region or home country.
The teams will come and meet you where you are. If you are calling about someone else, they will try to find them based on the information you provide.
